Hey it’s Zack!
I sometimes get vertigo. Real vertigo, yes, like in the Hitchcock movie. It’s a very debilitating phenomenon where the room spins, you become dizzy and sometimes you can’t even stand up. It’s caused by a crystal in your ear canal breaking off. Cyrstals in your ear, how’s that for sci-fi reality. Apparently, that alters how the brain calibrates balance, so the brain thinks you are moving, even though you are not. It sucks. And I got it yesterday. It definitely throws the world out of whack, and it makes you appreciate the basics in life…like standing and looking at things and balance.
The vertigo is mostly gone now, but it feels oddly ironic that as I have two comics now out in stores, new comics getting going, and Mindset is gearing up like a juggernaut, yeah, the room is spinning both figuratively…and actually. You can’t write this stuff.
So Vault Comics is awesome and they are doing a Giveaway competition for Mindset. Basically, you have a bunch of ways to engage with us and basically just share some love for the book, things like pre-ordering the book or helping us get the word out, and in exchange - man, the prizes! Okay, first you can win the variant package, and I’ve never seen an onslaught of high profile cover artists like this. Just wait! Then you can get some original artwork from the pages of Mindset. But then, THEN - the grand prize, John is going to spend NYCC painting one lucky winner in the fashion of the Mindset cover, that person having their mind blown! It’s going to be an opportunity of a lifetime. Read all about it at Gleam.io by clicking on the link below. The contest is already popping off but there's still plenty of time to let your customers (or yourself) get in on it!
