Kill All Immortals Graphic Novel
NEWSLETTER #39: Volume I of our Viking action epic is out everywhere!
Hey, it’s Zack!
When I first began comics, I had a few lucky turns of fate. My first comic Eclipse was supposed to be a miniseries. But it sold out, got crazy good reviews, it was a big hit, it got optioned for TV development by Robert Kirkman of the Walking Dead, and I had the chance to do more of that series right away! I ended up taking that series four arcs, and my very next series Port of Earth, three arcs.
I absolutely love long form storytelling, because you really get to create a character that gets tested and that evolves over time. It’s complex and consequential. And when you read a character for several arcs, you fall in love with them. At least, I do.
But I haven’t written an ongoing series since those two. It’s been six years.
Until now…
Dark Horse Comics Kill All Immortals is now an ongoing series.
And the first volume is out now.
And since we’re now ongoing, we aren't going to waste the opportunity! So I just briefly want to tell you about our intentions with this series -
Our goal is to create a series that delivers a blend of exciting and visually-stunning action mixed with consequential and elevated dramatic storylines. A story that dares to challenge a heroine in unexpected and profound ways. We want you to fall in love with our kickass action heroine, and come back again and again to root for her against the craziest of dangers.
We hope you find Frey to be your next Erika Slaughter and we hope Kill All Immortals proves just how immortal it is.
Volume I is out now. The next chapter continues early this fall. Sharpen your axes!
I’ll be at a special release signing of KILL ALL IMMORTALS at a great comic shop here in North Hollywood, Collector’s Paradise - so if you want to come celebrate with me and get the book signed, come over from 5-7pm!
Then, this weekend is a special moment for comics! Free Comic Book Day. If you aren’t familiar, it’s a chance to discover your new comic book shop and get a bunch of free comics from all of the different publishers, who want to give you a taste of what they’re working on. Man, it’d be so cool if Kill All Immortals was a giveaway. One day maybe! But I will be at The Comic Bug, May 3rd, in Los Angeles’ Manhattan Beach, so if you want to come get Kill All Immortals TPB or any of my comics signed! They're not free, but the signature is! By the way, I’m just there Saturday!
That’s it for now, but definitely get your copy of Kill All Immortals! I have a feeling they will go fast!
And thanks for reading!
