DARK HORSE COMICS' BREAK OUT TPB is finally here!
And I'm so freaking excited!!!
If you aren’t aware of BREAK OUT, or you want an extra dose of “Tell Me More”….
BREAK OUT is about mysterious and massive Cube spaceships from another dimension that materialize over our cities around the globe. They routinely abduct teenagers to be held inside their floating prison ships. And the world tells young people they have to accept it as inevitable. Big surprise, right? But not Liam Watts. His younger brother has been taken. And Liam is tired of "thoughts and prayers". Now, in a "take back our future" anthem, Liam must assemble a skilled team of ordinary high school students and in just a few weeks, they must plan a heist to infiltrate the hi-tech spaceship a mile in the sky. But what they'll find there will throw their plans into turmoil and challenge their resolve. How do you break out of a prison that's not even from this world?
If you are a fan of comic series like UMBRELLA ACADEMY and SOMETHING IS KILLING THE CHILDREN, as well as heist movies like OCEAN'S ELEVEN or supernatural adventures like STRANGER THINGS, then get ready for BREAK OUT!
BREAK OUT has been amassing cult following excitement since its release, mainly due to its timely themes and heartfelt narrative. The reviews have been fantastic and it's been blessed to be recognized by just so many of your favorite comic creators.
That's a lot, right? It just caught fire, you know. When you're planning a good break out, people want in. And this is a good break out!
BREAK OUT is also an absolutely visually stunning book, it's no wonder that artist Wilton Santos has moved on to draw BOOM STUDIOS new Creed series. Wilton and colorist Jason Wordie made such an amazing team with BREAK OUT.

BREAK OUT TPB will be out in book stores and sold online through book outlets on May 9th. The Comic Shops get a head start. But it’s coming there too!
MINDSET TPB is coming May 31st to comic shops and book shops. Can’t wait.
I’ll be at American Library Association Chicago 2023 this June 23-24. I’ll be with both Dark Horse Comics to share BREAK OUT, and Vault Comics to share MINDSET.
