Can't Keep A Good Immortal Down
NEWSLETTER #40: Dark Horse Comics Announces Kill All Immortals II
Hey, it’s Zack!
I haven’t done an ongoing since my first two comics over six years ago. But sometimes an idea just has a longer life to live. And this one is one of those stories. So it feels really good to share this first glimpse with you!
Dark Horse's KILL ALL IMMORTALS IS BACK IN BUSINESS!
After a sell out debut and big reprinting, a critically acclaimed heart-pounding first arc, and an in-demand volume trade, just released…
…we are bringing you the next season of our ongoing series with more Viking violence and business power struggles this October 1st --
KILL ALL IMMORTALS II
The five issue second arc will offer readers a great jumping on point ...
...and continues our journey with DC rising superstar Fico Ossio, hot newcomer colorist Thiago Rocha, Eisner-winning letterer Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou and designer Tom Muller.
And have we got some absolutely incredible covers for you, featuring more main covers by Clio-Award winner Oliver Barrett (Something is Killing the Children, WWE The New Day: Power of Positivity) and variant covers from Matt Taylor (Dragon Age: The Missing, Far Cry: Rite of Passage), John Giang (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Transformers), and Eisner-nominated cover artist Tula Lotay (Barnstormers, Tomb Raider).
And check out this thrilling animated teaser for the new arc!
The news just dropped yesterday with Comicbook.com and you can read all about it here! Despite a challenging market these days, Dark Horse Comics is all-in on our hit series and provocative mix of Jon Wick style action and HBO level Succession style character drama.
And our modern action story continues with Frey Asvald, an heartfelt kickass heroine we're hoping will follow in the footsteps of Erika Slaughter.
SERIES SUMMARY
“The Asvalds were once a powerful billionaire Viking family with a source of secret immortality, until the family’s only daughter, Frey Asvald, led her brothers in a principled rebellion to overthrow their barbaric father and end their eternal powers. But when an ancient and supernatural adversary threatens to destroy their precarious empire and kill them one by one, they must band together as a family, survive another deadly war, all while testing their new mortality.”
Both John Giang and Tula Lotay's variants will be revealed soon, but that's just the start!
There will also be single variants for Issues #2 through 5 from artists Ivan Tao (Thundercats, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers), Dan Quintana (Dawnrunner, Universal Monsters: Frankenstein), Alan Quah (Nightwing, Red Sonja: Age of Chaos), and Stefano Simeone (Rogue Sun, Wyrd). You can check out some of the first issue’s covers in the gallery below.
And we are not pulling any punches here. We’re expanding the world of immortals, we're amping up the action to blow your minds, and we're hitting you with more timely thematic exploration of the undying power of billionaires right now.
And I cannot wait for you all to see the incredible visual symphony here. It’s breath-taking, it’s energetic and it’s coming your way soon.
So do not wait - call or email your comic book shop and subscribe for this series!
